12"? I'm not sure. But take a look at the LG p300, it's 13.3" and has an 8600m GS.

Keep in mind that a lot of 12 inchers now are thicket than 13.3 inch laptops.

The LG P310 is due out in not too long and will have the 9600GT and P9500 processor.

I really think that the best you will do in a 12 inch is an Intel x4500, and it will likely cost more than the LG does anyhow.

theres an hp tablet pc that has the ati 3200 integrated, which from what i understand is the best integrated gpu, coming close to the 8400 gs.

also im pretty sure you can get a 9300m gs (gt? g?) on a 12" ive seen it on a 10" laptop.

also if lg does make a 13" with a 9600gt i will be very happy. that would mean around the next time i buy a laptop (year or 2) ill be able to get a nice mid-high end gpu on a small laptop :D

"good" can be defined differently; if i got a dell xps 1210, a 7400 would be GOOD compared to the x3100 i have now

money can most certainly buy that; if i had 20G to blow id make my own custom 12" that'd be about 2" thick with a nice GPU and sick cooling system

it'd be easy to make a 12" with a good gpu, the problem is it would have to be thick, a direction manufacturers arent willing to go in right now

    LOL,

You mean a direction the market would absolutely reject. Just because it's physically possible (under outrageous non-constraints) doesn't mean laptop makers need to be out there making Frankensteins. Realistically, you're expecting them to make a performance beast with a crappy screen than 99.9999% of gamers would reject.

The new 10" Asus N10 will have a 9300gs which should be about equal to the 3450 and faster than anything integrated, the problem is that right now it would be paired with a single core Atom processor which would possibly bottleneck it in games.

Soon to be released is the Asus N20 which will be 12" and have a core duo processor instead of the Atom and although I haven't seen the gpu yet my guess is it will have the 9300gs also.

    Everything else is integrated.

Your living in a dream world...

"nice gpu, sick cooling system" -lol, whatever dude.

bottom line: pick one randomly, they are all integrated in 12" notebooks, they all perform relatively the same (badly).

The ASUS N10 fits the bill although it only has a 10.1" screen.

    Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz / 2GB RAM / 250GB Hard Drive / GeForce 9300M GS / Webcam / 802.11ABGN /.

Check out the Asus N10. It's a 10" notebook based on the Eee brand but contains a 9300m GS.

I'm sure if the 10" can do it, a 12" can too (if not slightly better).

This thread shows that there are those out there that want a small 12 or 13" laptop but with decent or even powerful graphics card for gaming.

I'd really like AMD to release their ATI XGP technology as soon as possible. The ability to connect an external graphics card to a small laptop and so have the best of both worlds. A small laptop to take around and be mobile and at home, turn it into a powerful gaming machine.

Better yet, you don't have heat generated on the laptop since the GPU is external and so you could also overclock it more safely.

I think there's a big untapped market for external graphics cards, just like Asus discovered with netbooks. I hope it can also be a reality soon..... :)

I think the best you can get in a 12" is the Nvidia Geforce 9300M GS.
