it's taking up all my cpu, and i wanted to delete it, but i dont even have a folding@home folder for it.
i think it might be a virus, is there a way to remove this?
it keeps starting up when i start l4d2. and l4d2 keeps pausing every few seconds. so i think it might be the cause.

It will have it's own folder. It can also be run as a service. I'm curious who installed it on your machine if you didn't....

It throttles back automatically. I got it running on my desktops.

F@H is a protein folding simulator, though, if you know for a fact that you have never installed F@H, then it may be something malicious. In task manager, right click > open file location, and see wehre that takes you.

Why don't you just uninstall it? If if is the actual F@H program (which is not a virus) then it should be listed in add/remove programs.

Find the .exe and delete it.

It can be manually installed anywhere. Just use the search option to find it.
