hey guys i have been reading forums and researching a lot here and there abt LAPTOPS there GPUs and everything when i ordered my laptop i didnt even had a clue about about what a laptop is basically the smart dimmer the powermizer the battery saving options and many many different things.! but then today when i am unpacking my dv9700t i know everything what it has.. how it cools how it play games . i discovered that i dont have a GAMERS choice graphic card but then its enough for me.. the 8600M GS is cool enough..!
thank NBR and all other people who helped me in this adventure butNOW I HAVE decided that i wont change my drivers ( since i have seen people reporting that if u change your stock drivers you get either a BSOD or any other error smart dimmer stops functioning correctly or any other error that it may have..
so my final go is i am gonna play games like ORANGEBOX and CSS and NFS prostreet my friends here at NBR say that i can run such games without OCIng or even changing the 174.xx drivers given by HP..
therefore i am just keeping the laptop as i got it..! no changes in it what so ever..! i will lower down the setting with UT3 and such demanding games if they run n lowered settings or else lower resolutions or both! but in no way i am gonna TWEAK my GPU or other system setting!
PS:- Others who are using a dv9700t or planning to buy the HP laptop please consider that the stock laptop is really good may not be that good with games like crysis or COD4 but then ur machine doesn't have the capacity to do that so either buy some other laptop or else if u want an HP be happy with the games it can play and believe me games like doom 3 and fear run like 100+ fps in this machine everything maxed so what else you want from a college desktop replacement good for me..!
THANKS EVERYONE!
n YA the last question to all you freaking great GADGETERIANS .. hehe.... was my decision good or not!! i have alrerady made my mind for not changing anything but still wanna know what u guys think abt it!! thanks and atleast reply !!
