Anyone got it?
Has it been fixed yet, or is it still broken?
-
Word is that it's still pretty bad, especially if you're running Vista.
FYI, the multiplayer demo is supposed to come out Tuesday, March 11 and if you do decide to buy the game, get it at Circuit City which has it on sale for $30 this week. -
So I bought this game yesterday, because I was at Circuit City with a friend buying a ps3 game Army of Two. Since it was on sale I said why not, so I got it. Anyways, this game is still a total mess. I am playing single player and it lags and crashes on me. Multiplayer, there wasn't too many servers that had people playing. I join, but left because it got bored with very little people playing. Also, I dunno is there voip in multiplayer, I was trying to figure out what button it was but it nothing came up.
I say purchase this game when it hits 20 bucks or whenever it is fixed, because it really needs to be fixed. If this game was made multiplayer only it would have been great and just drop the single player mode altogether, because then all they would have focus on was the multiplayer and making work well. Plus it takes up 11 gigs in your hardrive and the graphic are not even that hot and it doesn't run smooth. I played Call of Duty 4 with high and med settings and it run smooth as butter. Hell I even ran Crysis demo with low and medium settings and it still ran way better than this game. This game feels like it was made from EA all buggy and crap. I should have bought Quake Wars instead, because when I play QW beta it ran a lot smoother than this game....
End of rant. :]

I'm enjoying it so far, had a crash on launch problem the first day, but hasn't done it after the first day for what ever reason and have yet to have another crash yet with it... finishing up chapter 4 of the single player, and totally happy thus far. Not saying it's the greatest game ever by any means, but I've played it quite a bit lately and am having fun with it. Performance wise it does run a bit slow for whatever reason, not horribly so, but with my setup at 1440x900 and everything on high except foliage i get frame rates in the mid 20's-30 or so... but, it isn't using SLI currently, so that would be how it would run on a single 8600mGT. no stutters or anything, just not a high frame rate. Anyway, just my $.02

ok, wanted to update my last post as i updated my video drivers to 169.44, and it adds driver level SLI support to Frontlines, and my framerates jumped up to 40+ with high settings.... so, definately an improvement with dual 8600's, and will hopefully get better with an actual patch that adds official SLI support, but just the drivers alone almost doubled my framerates. Wanted to pass that along to those that may be in doubt, and as i said, really enjoying the game so far

Cool, SLI suppport! I hooked my laptop to my new 40" HD TV and surround sound system and played this game, WOW is all I have to say, the game and sound are incredible at 40" by way of HDMI cable.

My update:
So I finally got around to complete the single player missions, took me forever because the game kept crashing. It was an ok experience and the AI is kind of dumb, also enemies somethings spawn randomly behind you... Anyways, after completion I deleted off my hardrive. It just way too buggy for me, ill probably reinstall it when patch 2.0 comes along and fixes everything. O and I tried to do multiplayer again, this time I could click on the server and it would not let me join and when I hit refresh it just froze! :[
