    hey guys,

I'm thinking of playing some games in co-op with a friend, but no games which support co-op on pc come to mind... any ideas?

We'd prefer rpg and fps games

Call of Duty: World at War features a cooperative mode in which up to 4 people can go through the campaign together. I've had some fun times with it...also, Nazi Zombies mode. 'Nuff said. :p

Modern Warfare 2 has the Special Ops mode, which is a series of missions that you can do alone or with one partner. It's not the same as the singleplayer campaign, but the missions are based on it. Some of these even require two people, including my particular favorite, where one player has to reach an objective on the ground while the other controls an AC-130.

I've never tried it myself, but I've heard Gears of War for PC has an online co-op mode as well.

You can't go wrong with L4D2. Especially today that Valve is releasing the 2 extras (one if you own L4D).

I'll be hitting Steam tonight when I get home.
