    well most laptop got pci slots and im wondering if the future wil be providing us an external graphic card where we ca n just slide it in the laptp if more users are buying gaming laptop?

    Search the forum, there are several threads on external GPUs (ViDock) for notebooks. There are current options that you can buy if you want a more powerful desktop GPU for your laptop but there are also several limitations (such as bandwidth and price).

    Take a look at the DIY ViDock and ViDock 2. The technology may not be at the point that you want it, as you have to use an external monitor and a desktop PSU, but the card you will use will be generally far more powerful than a laptop GPU.

    If were talking Express Card GPU's, etc, then I think a dedicated laptop GPU will always be better. The cost of miniaturization will be quite a large amount, and the you would need a separate cooling system for the slot you are using.

    See DIY ViDock - My experiences so far. A HD5750 (Green), HD4870, HD5770, HD5850 desktop video card giving quite good performance. If PM55 chipsets turn out to provide expresscard 2.0 facility, then a desktop HD5850 via the DIY ViDock will outperform ALL current gaming systems, eg: GTX280M-SLI, mobility HD4870x2.

    Gigabyte may be releasing an external vid car/dock. Doesn't look to impressive but anything beats integrated vid cards.
