make sure your drivers are updated to the latest version. also...im assuming you mean a 100gb hd, since a 1g hd would not even be able to have xp installed.

are you playing from the battery or powered by the plug? if you are playing from battery you make have a program that is setting your computer to give more battery life which would cause it to skip.

    hope this helps,

    pb,out.

I agree with everything PB said, and also, if you're playing it off an external Hard Drive, I've hard that that's caused problems with some people.

Try lowering some of the video properties? That's where I'd start. Try to isolate which feature is causing the lag...then address it with driver updates. If that doesn't work, start checking out a site on that game, to see if others with your card have had similar issues and if there's a workaround.

It shouldnt be giving a problem with that Video Card. It runs fine on my current ATI 9000 128MB IGP! Yeah go with updating the video card drivers. I use Omega Drivers on my ATI, can suggest you that aswell.

Make sure that you don't have anything running in the backround, that could cause the skipping.

updated drivers will help as well as eliminating frivolous process. If you have too many processes going too much memory is being used up, but with 2GB it shouldnt be that big of a problem
