hey guys, i have a MSI WS60 laptop with the workstation GPU in it.

I was thinking about putting a couple games on it but im afraid it will damage the gpu/over heat.

is it ok to use a workstation gpu?

If you are afraid of overheating, you can always check your temperatures with something like HWMonitor or GPU-Z.

Check here you can scroll down and see what FPS that GPU achieves.
Also as Djask said. Keep your eye on your temperatures. Download Programs such as "Core Temp" and "GPU-Z" to check the temperatures of your GPU/CPU.
If they get too hot you can disable your turbo boost of your CPU. Should make quite a difference. Perhaps leaving room for some small overclocking depending on your laptop it's cooling. (though I don't know if those quadro GPU's can be overclocked as easily).

If you are using your CPU a lot and need the turbo boost power, you can go to power options, create a new "power plan" beside High-perforamnce. like you can call it High perforamnce (Turbo disabled). Where you choose the maximum processor state 99% in your advanced power settings for that plan. And you should be good to go, by simply changing the power plans you can enable and disable turbo boost.

And even write a small .bat file that toggles between them. which can make it even easier.
