    gaming problems help please!!!!

    hi there guys im running a dell e1505 i got in august 2006. Intel duo core 1.86 ghz, geforce go 7300, 1 gig ram, windows xp, creative audigy sound card. WHen i play games such as cs:source or old games like starsiege tribes I get laggy framerates when i would get skips like I would see a guy shooting me then I would be on the ground not seeing myself die. My video card driver i got from Dell so im assuming its fine so Im not sure what the problem is. ANy suggestions please thanks!

    What settings are you playing on? Meaning what resolution, shadows, texture detail, AA and AF and that sort? My guess would be to turn down AA and AF to the lowest settings. Turn everything else to medium, I used to play on low settings and still did good. For me though graphics isn't everything, I'd rather play a smooth game on low settings than choppy with higher settings.

    well for CS:S i play the reccommned settings but i still get somewhat video lag when there is heavy action where things would freeze and skip. The reccommended settings are all on high with AA off and filtering to trifiltering. If i changed the settings lower it doesnt give me more fps lol for some reason it just makes the game less pretty. I play either in 800x600 or 1024x768

    my guess would be the drivers. i played on a 5700go and played at the 1650x1080 and never had that sort of problem.
