When it says Pentium 2.4Ghz, that is just one core. I bought the game and it runs great on my Dual Core 2 - 2.0ghz machine.

How does that compare to a single core turion 64? The P-Rating is 3.4ghz but it only runs a 1.8ghz...

It means your Turion is like a P4 3.4 :) Any 64bits processor are at least as good as a Pentium 4 3.0

    Unfortunately, you do.

Gears of War for Windows on Campaign=

Gears on the 360 was my favourite game of all time. On the strength of it, I bought Gears for Windows for my more than capable Notebook for those long nights away.

There are a few people who will report no such problems, but like myself, the majority of people who try to play Gears for Windows on Campaign have given up on this Buggy, Jerky, Unfinished project. I repeat, there are a few exceptions, you could get lucky. I (like most others) didn't. A few searches in Google will reveal the extent of this mess.

If you're only interested in multiplayer however, You'll probably be OK.

@ Icaru506...I have GoW for PC...I beat the entire campaign without encountering a SINGLE error or bug of any sort....

I have no idea why people are having such problem with the game, but my experience with the game has been that of a great one...worked flawlessly right out of the box....didn't need any of the fixes claimed by the others....

I agree with Icaru on this aspect. The first time I played and finished GoW for Windows, it was flawless. A week back I reinstalled it. U won't believe it but after entering the third Act, the save games were automatically deleted. I couldn't resume again. I had no option but to curse the people who made it.

    Ooch....that must have sucked....

Well, for me, I get bored of games VERY fast (as in 4-5days fast), so maybe I wasn't able to actually encounter the errors during my short encounter with the game...
