If you haven't played it before its definitely worth a try, however people have been encountering lots of problems with "windows live" resulting in game consistent game crashing. You'll want to wait till they release some sort of patch before buying or find someone who has an xbox. Spec-wise the game runs quite well...well exceeding my expectations. I have an X1600, 2 gig ram, 2.16 core2, and I get an average 30 fps with med/high settings (except for shadows) at 1078 res. 1280 surprisingly isn't that much worse, fps somewhere in the 20s. Post processing options usually kill my computer but it works quite well at medium so I still get that motion blur and bloom effects without much of a hit in performance. All in all it is very playable on my comp and looks very nice (the bloom helps hide the lower res). The best experience is still co-op on an x360 though.

I think the game is great. On of the funnest games that I have played in recent times. I've only run it on an 8800GTX, so I am not sure how it scales on other cards....what do you want to run it on?

Playing at 1680x1050 all max w/ no DX10 (makes NO difference) on a non-OCed card (GoW responds poorly to overclocking). It's very smooth except for this random stutter which is apparently a problem on all PCs.

i run it in 1024x728 resolution on my go7900gs with everything on max( vsync turned off) and the fps almost never gets below 30, except for the stuttering issues, but even when the screen is filled with a dozen of enemies or a huge boss like the battle against the brumak there's no slowdown, which's quite impressive really.
