I'm looking at the hp dv2500t or the hp tx100z, i need a decent graphics card to do some light gaming, mainly I want to play half-life 2 and starcraft 2 when it comes out. It seems like the geforce go 8400m gs will be able to handle what I want to do but what about the geforce go 6150? it lloks like it has the same amount of memory so is it a lot less performance?

yeah not only is the 6150 two generations old but it is a lower model in its respective generation then the 8400...plus you will be able to run DirectX 10 games on your 8400.

basically the 8400 woops the 6150's ass in all respects.

Totally get the 8400, it whomps the 6150 sooo bad. the memory also, isn't everything. its dependant on the amount of shader and pipelines too

The GeForce Go 6150 is an integrated IGP. There's a great article about it floating around on NBR somewhere around here.

It doesn't have dedicated memory so it leaches off of much slower system RAM in order to get its memory. For an IGP it's outstanding...but the 8400M is going to be able to eat it for breakfast.
