I have been searching the web and they sent me here. I searched here but have not come up with anything.

What I want to know is: What is the difference worth? Is there more than a slightly measurable difference in performance?

GF Go 7900GTX GPU core is clocked at 500 MHz and the memory is clocked at 1200 MHz effective.
GF Go 7950GTX GPU core is clocked at 575 MHz and the memory is clocked at 1400 MHz effective.

Both graphic setups use the G71M GPU core and GDDR3 VRAM. Basically you can take the 7900GTX setup, and overclock the GPU core and VRAM to 7950GTX speeds. If you're given the option for either one, be smart, take the 7900GTX and overclock it, unless you're afraid of voiding the warranty, in which case I'd refrain from such an idea..............

no one would know that you over clocked anyway. just take it back down to the original settings and delete whatever program you used to do it before you send it in for repair or what not

The 7950 was merely a refresh to the 7900 line. It basically gave Nvidia something new to market, and hype everyone up about. The performance gain is negligible at best.

True, but I've overclocked my GPU and it's memory so much it's possible they might notice <.<

The 7950 is only marginally more powerful.
