    i have a toshiba p105-s9312
    my specs are
    core duo 2.0ghz
    2gb ram
    200gb 4200 rpm hdd
    nvidia go 7900 gs 256mb

i mean i should get 60-70fps, but im only getting 30 fps in outlands, ironforge and obviously dips in shattrath. Could it be the hard drive speed? Its not near to full at all i try to keep the computer as clean as possible. I know i have practically one of the best setups out there but its still performing like crap. Someone help!

p.s. could it be my dorm network? I usually have good latency though...so idk

Given that a lot of dorms are starting to block the primary ports for a lot of online games, it could be the dorm network (what's your framerate from home?). I seriously doubt it's your hard drive's speed, since that would affect load times more than it would performance post-load. Have you tried updating your drivers? Also, what OS are you running? I've noticed that Vista can be grumpy with certain games.

How is your performance in other (non-online) games? That would be key in determining whether the problem is really network latency or system performance.
