One of my friends with a 6600 swear by the INF mod drivers from laptopdrivers2go.com

I agree that the LaptopVideo2Go drivers are the 'smoothest' suite out there . . I was using them with an Nvidia machine, no trouble. I liked them better than the easy-to-install www.tweaksrus.com drivers.

I belive they are modded desktop drivers pb, like your desktop Catalyst drivers on your notebook.

I have the Tweaksrus drivers on mine (at Chaz's original recomendation) and they work gine (fixed a crashing prob I had with Battlefront 2.
Chaz- would there be a performance increase if I used the laptopvidio2go drivers?

    hmm

im actually looking for an official nvidia driver. lol ive played around wiht these things (mostly for desktop) and honestly, i rather have the balance of performance and looks.

besides u can do most of the things with the nvidia software in your display properties

I believe the laptopvideo2go drivers are completely stock. The only difference is the modded .inf file that replaces the desktop version so the drivers will function with your laptop, otherwise they are official.

It is very simple to do, and they work great on my 6600 go. I also prefer the "stock" look over the tweaksrus labels.

I don't think you're going to find anything any more official than that unless you use the drivers that came with your laptop.

CoDnut, you won't see any performance increase from going to the laptopvideo2go drivers. There really isn't much of a difference between them and the tweaksrus. The tweaksrus drivers are a lot easier to install, that's for sure. As long as you update your drivers every once in a while, you'll be A-OK. ;)

Yea I've been doing that. Now I just have to wait for Zone Alarm to come out with an update that lets Red Orchestra start without BSODing me.
