Would someone take a second and rank these cards in order of their strength for gaming?
- 128MB Geforce GO 7400 (with a sony sz notebook)
- 319MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS (on a HP dv2500t)
- 128MB Quadro NVS 135M (on a dell latitude 630)
Just as kind of an FYI the card will be running with a 2.0ghz C2d and 2 gigs ram
Thanks a ton!

1) 319 Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS
2) 128 MB GeForce GO 7400
3) 128 MB Quadro NVS 135M
The Quadro NVS Cards are mainly for rendering and CAD purposes, not gaming. But the 8400M GS trumps the 7400. -
8400 GS
GO 7400
Quadro NVS 135M
I thought you could get a GT for the HP. I guess I was mistaken. -
Can anyone give me an idea of HOW much faster the 8400 vs 7400 is?
how does the 8400 stack vs a ATI Mobility RadeonTM X2300, with 128MB video memory (256 MB HyperMemory*) -
mattireland It used to be the iLand..

ATI Mobility RadeonTM X2300, with 128MB video memory (256 MB HyperMemory*)
What kind of performance can I get with this ^^
Would it be competent for playing current gen games?
(CSS, Oblivion, C&C3, COH at 1200*800)
Is it a direct x 10 card? I am struggling to find any info on it online.. -
8400M GS is 2 times faster than 7400
3dmarks06 scores
8400M GS = 1645 points
7400 go = 800 points -
if you want the sony SZ just w8 until they release the new ZS6 on july 29... it comes with the new santa rosa processor and a 8400GS video card
-

I wouldn't say the 8400 is twice as fast as the 7400 is, regardless of benchmark scores. It is generally known that the 8xxx series cards overperform in benchmark programs such as 3Dmark and that real life differences will be much less but yeah the 8400 is the upgrade of the 7400 and so it will be indeed faster and has the added perk of being a DX10 card.
go 7400 vs. 8400M GS vs Quadro NVS 135M
