good First person

i am looking for a good first person shooter. i was looking at F.E.A.R or possbily battlefield 2142. if you have some good suggestion feel free to sumbit them.

system specs are
T2350 dou 1.86ghz processors
2Gb of ram doul channel
7900go gs
and a 120gb hard drive

 

stalker was fairly good game. theres always good old games like farcry also

 

FEAR is awesome you should definitely check it out,

But if you do not like the paranormal in games like I do (I absolutely hate games with monsters and stuff in it, like FarCry was an amazing game for me till the stupid monsters ruined it)

then get Counter Strike Source, great fun online, especially zombie mod and gun mod.

Also i do not like BF 2142, BF 2 is much more fun and better in my opinion.

Call of Duty 2 is also a brilliant game, lets you really feel the intensity of WWII

So yea go for FEAR, BF 2, CS S and COD
Whats great is that with your specs you will be able to run them on mostly max settings

 

i already have cs s and BF 2 but like i said im looking for a new game to buy

 

Ever played any Unreal games? I think you can pickup Unreal Tournament 2004 for $10 now a days. It may be somewhat old, but it's a great FPS and you could probably run it on the max settings.

 

Then try these out

FEAR (amazing, gfx, slowmo, gameplay, everything)

STALKER (also quite good, great mix of rpg and fps, sort of like oblivion with fear)

Call of Duty 2 (only game series that lets you experience the WWII in all its intensity)

FarCry (stunning graphics, great story, great gameplay, better than Half life 2 for me even though I hated both because of the stupid monsters)

BF 2142 (fan of BF series, you will like BF 2142)


those are what id recommend

 

"Red Faction" is still the best First Person Shooter.

 

Almost forgot, another good fps game is Red Orchestra

 

but can i buy that in stores ? and as for red faction. its a very good game i have it for my ps2

 

my favorites are:

half life 2
cod 1 and 2
farcry
chronicles of riddick: escape from butcher's bay
quake 4
rainbow six vegas (although i played it on 360, i hear pc has problems)
condemned: criminal origins (not really a shooter but still first person action)

all but rainbow six should play maxed out on your rig. also they are all relatively cheap... you can probably pick all of them up besides fear and half life 2 for under $20 a pop

I recommend BATTLEFIELD 2142!!! Great teamwork and great gameplay. The graphics are superb with a great sound effect! It does not get boring, and only gets better and better.

I warn you though, if you start out fresh on the Battlefield online, you're going to die a lot. You learn through experience. If you need help getting started, i'll show you around and be your bodyguard on the battlefield. Just add me in the game "Ghost_Recon23" and pm me here if you want any tips, and I'll give you a great hand.

And the things I like about Battlefield 2142- Great sound effects, graphics, you can USE tanks, planes, and have great equipment use! It's very addicting and fun!!
