hey guys,
i was wondering if any of you could help me out with this problem i have.
i noticed that my temperature readout from rivatuner was really weird.
if i was playing a game with my laptop plugged in, i get temps around 70-75c,
but when i play the same game while running on battery, temps dont even reach 60c. i double checked with hwmonitor and they both show the same readout.
also i noticed that my framerate when playing while plugged in always stayed above 60fps but drops to around only 20fps when on battery.
i figured that maybe i wasnt getting the correct readings because it wasnt really lagging even though framerate was only 20fps.
does anyone know why these things are happening?
thanks for your time guys.

When you are on battery, the graphic card downclocks to save power and reduces heat output. When it downclocks, the video card's performance drops too, which is why you get a lower framerate.

Its because your graphics card downclocks to conserve battery

Tweak your power profiles, and see if you can disable your cpu & graphics card from throttling down (to conserve battery power) if you want to game on the battery alone. That should be it.

ah okay, thanks guys
