    i use i8kfangui to monitor my temps but can u guys tell me about a software with an alarm capability like if the gpu temp goes above 80 it starts beeping of something??

    I don't know of any such thing and I suspect there aren't any because nobody has asked for it before. I use GPU-Z to write the temps to a formatted log file which I then plot and find stats like the maximum and average temperatures. This would tell you exactly what temperatures were reached, but you would only know after the fact that you've crossed the threshold -- not in real time.
