high end gaming laptop like GS60 2QE should run games like League of legends flawlessly, but, for the first 20 mins of the game, the Fps was like 2XX FPS which is good, but later on the game the fps kept dropping and the graphic start tearing. Why is that? I had to turn on the Vsync to keep it smooth, but actually, as anyone has played LOL or CSGO know, turning on Vsync is a very bad thing for competitive games like CSGO and LOL, because it just slow you down, I don't know how to technically state it correctly, but if you has used Vsync you know what I am trying to say here. Thank you.

overheating. Check temps with HWMonitor or on-screen overly like MSI Afterburner/RivaTuner... Probably should check heatpipe attachment and repaste as well as clean dust away from fans and heatsink fins.

Thank you for your reply! I had tried playing it with less GPU usage consumption, but honestly, LOL is not really a game that consumes your GPU power, for the first 2X minutes, it went perfectly, but later on the FPS started dropping or things just starting lagging. Then I had to turn the maximum mode on. Also, I monitored the temp as well, it was 7X degree, I think it is acceptable.

It may be video RAM is overheating or just going bad. You usually see tearing if video RAM is clocked too high. Download Nvidia Inspector ( http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/nvidia-inspector-download.html) and underclock your vRAM and see if it corrects the issue. If so, it will likely need to be replaced (hopefully still have warranty).

how about setting your fps limit at 60? LoL has that option. I used it (don't remember I've vsync on or off).

I don't notice any tearing in Summoner's Rift except when the game ends and the camera moves quickly to the Nexus then there's 1 tearing. ARAM has a bit tearing (teeny tiny bit) as I remember.

if you've performance issue then it's likely to be what HTWingNut said. Get some OSD (like rivatuner) to monitor how your gpu behaves.

in fps's like CS GO people love to have more than 60, even if their monitor do not allow that.. May be he doesnt want to lock it

Have you tried checking your temperatures when gaming with VSync off and on? With it off, your GPU is basically working harder to make those 200+ frames, when your screen can only do 60fps, and could be running hotter leading to throttling possibly. Since the screen isn't 120 / 144hz, it might be worth leaving V Sync on if it is preventing screen tearing.

At first never, I mean NEVER post 2 same topics here in different subforums.
    2. He can set FPS limit to 120. Still enough.
    3. Throttlestop, disable BD Prochot.

Thank you for your solutions! I think it helps. First of all if vsycn is off setting a limit for fps will make it lag, it is weird but they still offer it to you. Anyways, I tried throttlestop, and the problem solved. I thought 7X 8X degree is absolutely normal for a gaming laptop since the fan went crazy when i was playing some more high end games, but, I think it slows me down if I played long enough. Thank you so much, I will pay deep attention to the condition of my CPU though.

it was about 89 degree, I think it kinda does. The reason why it is showing 5X degree is because I had to go back to Windows and take the screenshot.

Actually, it started lagging again, throttlestop couldn't help. I think it is because 2 days earlier I updated my bios, ever since, the temp went crazy. It used to be CPU 5X, GPU 3X degree on idle, but now, it goes like 6X, 5X degree, driving me nuts..

bois, seems like my laptop has been poisoned. There is an exe named system idle process keeping my laptop very busy, the cpu usage goes way up to 90% all the time. Sorry for your time, all of you. It poisoned it right after I updated my laptop, never occurred before.
