    is it any good?

on the website it has this written

does this mean the nvidia geforce 9600m gt in my laptop wont work?

That list isn't kept up to date, since there is a new video card/chipset released every two to three weeks. Your 9600M GT will be able to play GH3 fairly well.

I hear tell the PC version isn't really worth it. It chugs pretty bad even on higher-end systems, and you can't have skippy framrates in a rhythm game.

Ran fine on my old Sager 5791 with an 8700m GT at 1920x1200, it stutters for about 5 seconds on the first song, so just let it stutter, then press pause, and restart the song, and it'll be all fine for the entire rest of the game. There's really nothing wrong with the game other than the first song you play will stutter for a few seconds, then it's all fine every song after that.

I actually just played the game on PC about an hour ago, and I can tell you, it's great!
