    is there a good heli shooter game out there, kind of like hawx but with heli. good graphics, etc

    If you liked Hawx and want a similar type experience flying a helicopter, I'd recommend Apache: Air Assault. Its the same guys that made Wings of Prey, and has great graphics and is really fun. Not a hardcore simulation like DCS: Black Shark (awesome but way more complicated than Hawx) but is plenty realistic for a fun action take on the series, comparable in realism to Hawx. Controls work well mapped to a 360 pad or joysticks, and can be played with the keyboard if need be. Definitely worth checking out for some helicopter fun.

    Apache: Air Assault: Apache: Air Assault

    For more realism there is Black Shark, which does have an arcade simplified option that is fun, but its still not a straight action shooter.

    DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark

    Last option that I haven't personally tried is based on the Arma 2 engine, Take On Helicopters with the new Hind expansion pack that adds military helis. Its gonna land somewhere between a fuzz more complex than Air Assault and way simpler than Black Shark.

    Based on your enjoyment of Hawx though, I'd look at Apache:Air Assault first. Have fun and good luck!
