Hi,
I'm currently looking at a gaming PC and I cannot find a clear way to compare these 2 video cards,
in details I'm evaluating these 2 systems (in order to get a fair/good gaming experience):
Asus N76VZ-V2G-T1131
Core™ i7-3630QM, velocità clock: 2,3 GHz
Chipset: Intel HM76
8192 MB DDR3-1600/PC3-12800
8192 MB DDR3-1600/PC3-12800
LCD 17,3'' 1920x1080 LED 16:9
Hard Disk: 2x 750 GB Sata 7200 rpm
Audio Bang & Olufsen ICEpowe
Scheda Video: Nvidia GeForce GT650M, 2048MB (gddr3 vram)
BLU-RAY WRITER S-MULTI DL
prize:1250 euros
HP - Envy 17-2090el
Cpu intel 2630QM@2Ghz
Chipset Intel HM55
Ram [email protected] MHz
LCD 17,3 " LED Full HD (1920x1080
DVD+-RW WRITER DL
1x500 GB 7200rpm
AMD Radeon HD 6850M 1GB gddr5
prize: 980 euros
My doubt is not about cpu or memory specs, they looks fine for gaming (am I right?), my doubt is about the video cards.
I have heard that there is huge difference between 6850gddr3 and 6850gddr5 and notebook check has results which are related only to the ddr3 version.
So, it's a bit hard for me to compare these cards.
My questions
Has anyone here similar configs? Can you post 3dmark and heaven benchmarks for these graphic cards ( 6850m 1G ddr5 and 650m 2G ddr3, at stock speeds) ?
What is the best video card (and taking in account the prize gap)?
1200 euros are near my planned limitI'm trying to understand if the gaming performance worth 270 euros more
Thanks in advance to anyone, for any suggestion and data
Regards
Fabiano
P.s: Log time has passed form my first post , I hope this is the best subforum for this question

failwheeldrive Notebook Deity
Notebook / Laptop Reviews and News - Notebookcheck.net has information on every mobile gpu on the market. Just search for what you're interested in and you'll see gaming and synthetic benchmark info for each gpu.
If your budget is 1200 euros, I would suggest looking into other laptops as well. You can get a whole lot more performance from a brand like Sager/Clevo for that price. Good luck on your search! -
Your post is a bit confusing. The title says you are comparing two GPUs with a GDDR5 bus between the core and the memory. So the only comparison is between the size of the memory buffer. Your post on the other hand states that you are comparing one with a 2GB GDDR3 bus and one with a 1GB GDDR5 bus. Which one is it? I don't know what is the case, but the GT650m GDDR5 will better the AMD any day. The GDDR3 will be better provided you do not run multiple displays.
However, like failwheeldrive said, if you can go up to 1200 Euros, I'd suggest looking at other laptops. What country are you located in? Sager is out of the question imo but other Clevo resellers could work for you depending on where you live, VAT, etc. -
Get the Asus. I don't know why is there a question...
