Hey Aziz. Marhaba. The Quadro is better off for those app. but both mentioned cards can also handle them. Bottom line, it all depends on your needs. Isn;t the Quadro cheaper? Would you also be playing games?

    Also, check this out.

Most affordable and would do the job nicely.

Photoshop and Paintshop are entirely dependant on processor and RAM.

The x1600 and 7600 will be able to handle the other programs just fine. But the FireGL or a Quadro would handle them better.

aziz, what you mentioned, Quadro NVS, is a no-go for 3d modeling. Quadro FX is what you want. As a modeler myself, I've been doing rather well with my X800XT on my desktop, so I would guess you'd be pretty okay with either of the two "normal" cards. Just don't go over half a million polys... I can tell you that from experience. I'll be getting an LG S1 with an X1600 shortly, too, so I'll see how that goes.

I'd suggest that you go with the 7600. NVIDIA's OpenGL support has historically been much better than ATI's.

That being said, I've run Maya 8 under Linux on a Radeon 9600 mobile. So you really don't have to worry about it too much. But you don't need a Quadro card to do 3D modeling.
