it's just throttle throttle on my AW 17R4,i OCed it to 830/850, the score at 3DMARK11 only keep dropping, form default clock 719/P6400 to 850/6000 or even lower.
    with GPU-Z running at background
i guess i better post a pic View attachment 91716
the score is burned in default clock.
so as you see,i OCed successfully, with a cool temp and all
why the heck i still get this throttling?
i tried flash my Vbios which modified by SVL7 from tech-info
it helped me unlock the limit of software OC and this throttling
but it also keep the clock at max all the time
i mean this is a laptop right? could i unlock the limit and get rid of the throtting
but in the same time keep it cool?
    link to that mod Vbios

    Please help.

man am I glad I did not upgrade,

    Check temps
    Install latest drivers
    repaste if overheating
buy notebook cooler if temps are still high

Doubt it's a temp issue, the 680m shouldn't get past the 70C mark in these laptops.

OP, are you sure you flashed the svl7 VBIOS correctly? Once you flash the modded Dell 680m VBIOS, you shouldn't experience throttling when overclocking anymore.

His screenshot clearly says 65C was the max GPU temp, it's not temp.

Bios must still be throttling based on clock.

So your 3dmark scores have consistently dropped as your clocks go up? From your screenshot it looks like the graph of your core/mem clocks are a stable flat line? I thought "throttling" would be visible as lags and spikes in the graph as your card clocks fluctuate? I was able to do a pretty decent overclock on the stock unlocked bios but obviously this card is voltage starved from Nvidia intentionally crippling it and I found it fairly unstable when overclocking on stock voltage. I am now running the 1.05V bios and for benchmarking I'm able to push +382 on core and +350 memory netting me 3Dmark11 scores around 8400..... for gaming I run her around 1000mhz stable for hours and my temps never get above 80, except for one anomaly that occurred while I was pushing the Crysis 3 beta at max settings in which I saw my temps hit 90! At that extreme thermal threshold I believe I finally got the card to throttle. It seemed the temps would "bounce" from 89 and when it hit 90 the game would stutter till the temp came back down that degree again.. it might have been placebo affect but the cards temps would not go any higher, and I of course did not want to utilize my accidental warranty so soon haha. Again this only happened in Crysis 3 which even after lowering my clocks still runs hot at around 85  Have you tried any overvolted bios's yet?
