    None...

The closest competitor to the MS-FS series is X-Plane, even with its 8-DVD Global Scenery, it still falls short to MS-FSX graphically.

Unfortunately after 2001 with the whole internet bubble burst, flight sims took a massive nose dive. I was a very avid follower of all the combat flight sims. Today, Falcon 4, Enemy Engaged, Jane's F/A-18, and IL-2 series remain on my hard drive with several updates. They still don't look up to today's standards, but their simulation fidelity is great.

That being said, Microsoft Flight Simulator X is about the only new flight sim out there with high end graphics.

A new flight simulator being made by the same people who did IL-2 is coming out called Storm of War: Battle of Britain. And there is an ongoing F-16 simulation being developed called Fighter Ops.

    Other than that you're SOL.

Yeah if you like simulations Falcon 4 allied force is the way to go. When computers were in it's infancy (i.e. DOS 5.0, intel 286-486) they had the falcon series which were modeled after the real F-16 flight simulators that the Air Force actually used to train their pilots, it pushed the hardware to the limits with it's physics model and it's very deep as far as simulating a theater of war. The graphics are surpassed by modern standards but it's still very good and realistic, Falcon is way ahead of it's time. Oh I have awesome memories of playing Falcon 3 when the Gulf of War of 1991 was happening, and watching the Thunderbirds just gives me more respect for the F-16. Look up Falcon 4 on Youtube and check out the graphics and dogfights, Although the learning curve is high for this deep simulation.
