    Hello,

I own a toshiba t7500, ati hd2600 and 4GB of ram. I am playing games like WOW and Warhammer online just fine at 1280 x 1024 on external monitor

I am thinking to buy a 22" monitor that will raise the resolution to 1680 x 1050.

Will my card still work at that high resolution 1680 x 1050, without loosing perfomance? At least if it will be playable without lag because I know my graphic card is nice but not that good.

    Thanks

It'll very likely work. WoW isn't graphically intensive -at all- and I don't think Warhammer should be incredibly taxing, but might lag a bit (as I hear it's not quite bug-free yet, or optimized, shocker I know ;)).

It'll work one way or another. You might end up having to down down some settings.

you should be fine. that card is decent and those games are not too stressful.

its really nice that nowadays even a basic computer system can do most tasks decently, and games even at low settings look pretty good :)

    must be my age...sigh...

If you gamed regularly on 600x800 and called 1024x768 "high resolution" then possibly. If a 17" desktop CRT monitor was "large" then definitely.

As the other posters noted, you should be fine. You may need to reduce some settings to get it to be as smooth as it is on 1280x1024; 1680x1050 means the video card has 25% more pixels to render. The game will still look great, though.

Should work. Don't forget to think about OCing your system either. Might do what it takes to get the framrate you want.

On a side note, a guy here at work just got 2 GTX280 cards for his desktop for WOW. I about puked.
