    well i got a nvida geforce 64mb 5700 ,2,8 mghz,and 512 md ram .
i wasnt even expecting to be able to play doom 3 and far cry with, but it actually works pretty good.far cry runs smooth and beautiful on the second highest settings but the trees are all shaky.i guess it it just too much to handle for the gpu ,but how much u ll think can my gaming experience improve(not only in far cry) if i get another 512 or a gig of ram .
is it worth it ?or will the advantage be insignificantly ?
    thx,
    Jim

I would say it would be a good idea - I dunno if it will make a huge increase in gaming performance (your gpu sounds like a bit of a bottleneck on performance) but you will see a general increase in desktop performance - have multiple windows/programs open.

What sort of notebook do you have? How many dimms of ram and free slots???
