On the topic of prototype my computer seems to have a faint HATE for the game. I love the hell out of it an pre-ordered it...however my computer seems to not want to run it...at all...I cant even run it at 640x480 with everything on low...(see computer specs in Sig). Is it possible for a computer to just decide to NOT want to play one game very well? i mean come on i can run crysis on HIGH at Decent levels of fps and i cant run prototype on the lowest possible?

Note: the lag isnt very uniform and doest make any sense I.E. it wont lag while fighting but when al i'm looking at is a wall while running up it it'll decide to lag really bad.

It's an HID device bug. Look into the device manager and disable those you don't need. It causes the game to run without using the GPU

I have a similar problem, no matter what setting or resolution the fps is remains max at 24 and lowest at 17.

ive changed resolution, settings tried every thing but the fps never exceeds 24ish and never goes below 17ish

my specs are in my sig, anyone got an idea?

it might be the turbo memory slowing you down. a HD under 5200 might be slowed down by it, if i'm not mistaken

Disable everything apart from your keyboard and Mouse.
