    I want to know how i can check what kind of video ram i have in my notebook, ddr2 or ddr3. What is a good program that is easy to use that will tell me this, or that will tell me what it is clocked at. Thanks.

    Some programs identify the type of memory correctly while others don't.

    The most fail proof way to check requires opening the computer and looking the at memory chips themselves.

    Usually they will have the name of the manufacturer and a number, then you look it up on google.

    you can accurately predict which type of memory you have by doing a 3dmark run and comparing scores;

    all the ddr2 memory so far has been 400mhz, whereas the gddr3 has been 700mhz.
