hey guys I bought a new dell xps 1530 with the 8600 gt nvidia card. How can I check that direct x 10 is in there? I tried device manager and no luck. Also I installed 3dmark06 and it required direct x 9c to be installed in order to install 3dmark06. So I'm a bit worried, does the direct x 9c override my direct x 10? and how do I check my system, just want to see visually that its in there.
THanks

You have Vista, you have a DX10 card, and you have DX10 drivers. You have DX10.
And no, DX10 was designed to allow DX9c to live side by side without issue. -
are you running xp or vista? if you're running xp, your definitely directx9. if vista came with your system, more than likely you're running directx10 unless you modified it. otherwise, i don't know how to check it but you can start with that.
