    how does HD 2600 compare to 8600 GT?

    sounds like the 8600m gt is way better from those 3dmark06 scores. the ati card is getting 3200 while the nvidia 3700-4100 depending if its oc'ed or not.

    You are probably getting 3700-4100 because you are running at 1280x800 resolution. The Ati card getting 3200 was heavily underclocked and running at 1280x1024.

    Them are about the same. HD2600 are between Geforce 8600GT DRR2 and DDR3 version what i have understod from the forum.

    Since I don't want to start a new thread on the same subject I'll ask my question in this one.

    Does anyone know which of those two gpu's will give better performance through OCing? I'm looking at two notebooks that are very similar except for one has a 2600 and the other a 8600GT. So when OCed, which would most likely win out performance wise?

    the nvdia definitely. no one has really managed to OC the ati successfully. but i hear that the ati is much better in relation to battery efficiency.

    8600m GT stock clocks w/ddr2 RAM here...and 3751 3DMark06 score.

    HD2600XT is more on par with Geforce 8700GT or am i wrong?
