depends on how high your settings are and resolution, but generally, yes. should be able to max out settings at your native res with 16x AF and probably 4-8x AA with 75 fps avg i would say. probably more on the aa.

what is with you and 100 FPS?

first of all, i doubt you can tell anyone above 45 FPS
second, no Screen can show above 75 FPS
third, no Laptop Screen can show above 60 FPS

lol ucdoc... And everything else (except Go7900GTX and QuadroFX setups - read $$$) sucks even more!

Jguy: It would be pretty sweet for multitasking or whatever you want to do. I would recomment you upgrade your RAM to 2GB if/when you have a chance. Buying extra RAM from Dell is probably too expensive though. You can just get 1GB/512MB from Dell and then buy extra ram from Newegg or other store.

jguy, your eye really only sees up to about 30fps, thats why movies run at 30. laptop screens max out at 60fps updating. a framerate past 30 fps only gives you smoother physics and stuff like that. the 7900gs will run most games out there better than good. and dont aim for 100fps, it could cause screen tearing. 60fps is the ideal framerate for gaming.

okay, there are alot of myths about fps. anyone can see the difference between 30 and 60 frames per second IN A GAME. That is a fact. Games don't use motion blur like tv, so the motion in a game is percieved differently between TV and games, this requires the frame rates much higher in games and other things without motion blur so then our brains are able to add it in ourselves.

Even then, anything above 60fps is a joke as the LCD won't display those frames anyways.

The go 7900 GS is one of the best cards you can put in a laptop.

It is very fast. You won't be disappointed.

i can see the difference between 45 and 60 someting about 50fps is enough for intense fps games. And i prefer at least 40fps with slower games but i can accept 30 fps too.
