not sure if anyone else has this problem but at high res (1920x is what i use)
the fonts for the menus get TINY and its really annoying

anyways this is how you fix it

    download this file
    http://rapidshare.com/files/165530573/SourceScheme.res

and put it into your steam/steamapps/yoursteamname/counter-strike source/cstrike/resource/ folder (change the path for the other source games)

this is my edited file and the fonts are already set to large size so they will be pleasantly easy to read at 1920x resolution and 1680x res

you can edit them yourself to suit your resolution: just edit the "tall" value under Fonts in the sourcescheme.res file (USE WORDPAD)

EDIT: could a mod change the thread title to something that starts with GUIDE so people dont think im asking a question? thnx

    Hey thanks for the file!

One more thing, can you provide a brief description of the variables in the file?

    Example:

DefaultSmallDropShadow - is used to blah blah blah
DefaultVerySmall - is used to blah blah blah.... and so on.

    Thanks!

I don't know how you could say that running it in 1920xXXXX makes it hard to read, or annoying, but still.. Why stop at just font size? Get a whole new GUI or make your own, they're actually quite easy to make for any source game.

    Here's a list of some, http://www.fpsbanana.com/guis/games/2?class=expert

I'm pretty sure there's tutorials on there about how to make your own as well.

Thanks for the help anarky! It is definately appreciated. :D

I probably won't use it, but it's nice to know I have the option.

Is there a way to keep the same font in the 1440x900 res as the font used in the 1920x1200 resolution? I hate how the 1920x1200 font looks bubbly and cartoony compared to the 1440x900 font :\
