I have upgraded my Notebook (XPS M1210) to 4GB DDR-2 667Mhz memory but i m still unable to share it with my VGA (Nvidia 7400) which is still 64 MB.
How can i share more memory with VGA , like 256 MB.

You should be able to increase the shared memory from the BIOS menu. It should tell you in the opening screen how to do it. When you turn on your laptop, you can press some of the F# buttons, for example mine is F2, it could be 'Del' button in some cases. I also know that some DELL laptops will use the Fn+ESC or Fn+F1 keys to access the BIOS set up. That should take you to the BIOS menu where you would be able to change the size of the shared memory. BTW have you updated the BIOS? It will update the video Bios as well.
There is a link which I just found about your laptop it should be useful to you
