i have the dv2000 i got it from staples for 630 .. its a great lapttop for the money, t5500 and its the intel integrated graphics .. i cna't remember what its called,
anyway, when i play cs .. and cs:source, for some reason i get very similar fps on both.. is there a reason why? i feel like this computer should play cs at like 40-50 fps but i only get like 15-25, and the exact same for cs source. what is the reason for this? or is there anything else i can do to get better frames?

I have intel's best integrated graphics chip (x4500MHD). I haven't played cs but when I play battlefield 2 I have to tweak some of the settings and lower them a bit. I get anywhere from 25 to 35 fps. I don't think you will be able to get 40 to 50 but I could be wrong

try playing the origional CS in software mode, your CPU should be able to handle it fine at 60fps. You could also try testing it in OpenGL or DirectX modes, which should be in the video options of CS. With CS:S however, you can try setting
-dxlevel 70
In the launch options of the game, that might help you get more than 15-25fps. -
alrite.. regular cs is in open gl right now .. software mode will be >?
