i need a game to play

well i need a game to play but i havent played much before. if possible i want to spend under 30 for the game but the cheaper the better. there are some cheap games on newegg, but i have no idea which games are fun. i want it to be an online game possible.

some games i have played before are runescape,maplestory,4story, korean fps game(online), and im trying out guild wars rite now the trial version. i havent played much games but thats about it

i would also like something that my xps1530 can handle it has a t8300, 4 gigs of ram, and a 128MB NVIDIA 8400M GS graphics card.

 

I didnt see you include WoW (World of Warcraft) check it out

 

yeah but it cost 20 to buy then u got to pay monthly and i dont want it to take over my life lol...

There's also some free games you can get if you'd like to try something new,
Such as trackmania nations forever, a free online racing game with a track editor. Most tracks are complicated and sort of puzzle-like, the objective is usually just to see if you can actually finish the tracks before everyone else, and get the best time. hmmm i was thinking of fps but i havent played a real fps before the one i played was split between two teams 8 vs 8 at most and then kill each other, it was a really small area...so yeah.
mmo would be decent too or like mmorpg or rpg i guess something on the lines of that. i dont like racing unless its going to be an awesome game. and then i have no idea wat rts is...

Command & Conquer : Red Alert 3 im running it on the same card and i have it at 1280x720 all medium except shadows at 25-30fps

 

CoD4 is a good FPS to start out with

Play the [short] single player campaign to get the hang of the game.
Then get addicted to the multiplayer mode to get your money's worth

 

I would recommend The orange box. You get HL2, Episode 1, Episode 2, Portal and Team Fortress to play online. Ive seen the PC version go for as low as 19.99 for all those games

wats ut3? yeah after i try out some demos i mite go for cod4 or fallout 3. never heard of command and conquer either

my honest opinion: unless you like everything as slow as a turtle..
Unreal Tournament is the best multiplayer FPS game for everyone.

 

saurbraten is an interesting fps... and its free so you might as well have it
its definitely not slow as a turtle
and it has a very interesting in game and multiplayer editor

as far as mmorpgs im surprised no one has suggested silkroad. give it a try.

 

play DOTA, it great game, it a mod game from warcraft3,

only downside, you need to buy the battlechest inorder to play

he he..dota isn't for "i need a game to play" type of pplz.
it takes at least 1 month just to gasp all the concepts of DotA
and that's with someone there to help you.

UT was never meant to be a single player game
it's all about multiplayer...16+ ppl and CARNAGE!!!

 

That's true, but some people have slow internet and with bots on GOD mode you don't stand a chance

 

i do, believe me

i play UT since its release.

i used to play it on average difficulty.
one day out of curiosity played a godlike mode game
and quit after 5 mins concluding that
godlike difficulty is for Gods ONLY..no human can ever beat them.

after a few months..there i was..completing UT on Godlike difficulty

 

Play The Typing of the Dead.

I just came across it the other day and its great and productive.

When I played, I'd see an enemy (or not) and bang
Press enter to respawn

Even if I got a shot in, the would just fly out of the way

Must install it again

 

I need a game to play as well...

I am on a 1st person shooter kick...finished Call Of Duty Modern Warfare
and World At War, both great games. Mass Effect was fantastic, Dead Space
Crysis and Left 4 Dead ann finished.

Suggestions?

 

Try an older FPS like Quake 4 or Doom 3
I'm playing Quake 4 and while the graphics look a little outdats, it's still demanding
I can't play it at 1280x800 @ultra settings with 8xAA, I only 15-22frames
