i need a new game

ok... i have not played a good game since COD4...... crysis was ok.... im playing fear and HL2 now, but it isnt really fun, im just trying to beat them cause i have nothing else to do. im not really an rpg guy. so basically, i like fps and rts. dont suggest WIC cause i beat it already.... actually, i really want a good tactical fps, but vegas 2 isnt out yet..... so any ideas?

edit, and i dont want you to list multiplayer games

If you want a tactical FPS, try Splinter Cell games.

 

yea.. beaten all the hitmans, isnt BF online? and ill look into supreme comander (i liked total annihlation) and im done with all the aoe 3 games.... and iv beaten all the splinter cells...... ill look into C&C

and it is really cold here.... prob about the same as it is by you.....

and i just got an urge to play somthing where i swing a sword or shoot a bow..... any pc games like that? i cant think of any

 

Try Mount&Blade then. Exactly what you want.

 

Swing swords? Lightsaber is a sword in your definition? Then go for Jedi Academy...

Oblivion? (swords and bows and such)

 

oblivion seems the one you're looking for if you just want to swing swords and shoot bows and shoot spells. also Dark Messiah which has more strategy involved.

 

He said he didn't like RPGs, which sort of rules Oblivion out.

I think Dark Messiah is the way to go. Really fun game, minimal character building, mostly just action. Good stuff. That, and magic freaking sucks in it anyhow, so you're pretty much bow and/or sword.

i did some checking out of dark messiah, and it looks bland (IK, im a really picky gamer, lol) so how about i just forget the sword stuff.... what is a really good, intense, and not boring fps? COD4 i REALLY liked alot, so somthing with that intensity

 

i'll be honest..DM is pretty bland. Ass Ass Creed comes out in march i believe for PC.

 

I know you said you don't like RPG, but The Witcher should have been GOTY. It is best game I have played in long time.

 

Bioshock?? More FPS than RPG in my opinion (contrary to Oblivion).

How about STALKER? It plays similar to RPG but is really more a shooter and action game than anything else.

 

Prey is fun, as is Far Cry.

 

you should defenitly try Bioshock and Assassins Creed (when it comes out).
Bioshock was by far the best game I've ever played (but that is my opinion)

 

How about "universe at war"

 

Universe at War - bleh. Sorry, but I was all geeked about this one but it turned into another humdrum RTS game with nothing that fun, new, or unique about it.

 

ok.... im gona look into bioshock, and and i already was going to get assasin's creed and vegas 2..... and iv already played through stalker with a friend (we did all endings, lol) so im gona wait for the new one of that...... too much waiting ! lol

 

yeah I hear ya. Usually October, November, December there's tons of new games because of the holiday season, then a lull for a while.
