Um, I have no other problems with the other games, just call of duty 4 -_-, I think my Laptop is getting two hot, and i believe this cause my vents were so dirty and i fixed but i didnt lag in games such as bf2142, only in call of duty 4, more of a resource hog i guess. Anyways, how can if fix this? should i overclock it or something. Advice and tips are nice :) -_-.I Have a fun under my laptop, but it doesnt seem to keep it that much cooler :x...

i cleaned about a month ago, take or give a 3-7 days. According to speedfan its at 58c my gpu and my prcoessor is around 40c. Ummm im on an acer aspire 6920g. Notebook cooler, then one inside, idk then, but the one under is just a fan(1 fan), its has two spots for my latop then a huge U hole so air can pass under the laptop. Also i have been uninstall and reinstalling some tryout and free antiviruses, such as CA(free from optiumum) Mcafee(my dad uses it) Avira(fre version) But now i use avast since i heard its as good or better as mcafee and i heard(and from experience less resource hog -_-.)
    I also have multiple Antispyware, spybot,CA antispyware,and SUPERantispyware.>_>.

dont use speedfan... its great for desktops... sucks for notebooks.

    use:
    - HWmonitor (all-in-one simple program)
    - RivaTuner (for GPU temp monitor while in-game

    Visit the NBR Cooling Central

I explained the safe temps there.

those temps are fine.... but those are at idle.

do some benchmarks like 3DMark06, PCMark, etc...

then let HWmonitor record the highest temps.

    those temps are normal.

check for processor and ram usage in taskmanager and streamline your running applications by stopping some unneeded applications running on startup and uninstalling some unused applications.

dont have more than one anti anything running. i dont know what one of those is best, but remove the other 2 once you do.

Just out of curiosity. Why did you think that your laptop was overheating ? Is it acting strange ?

As far as temps go, you have nothing to worry about, to be honest they are kinda low too :p So you should be happy about that :)

Do not use AVG. It used to be decent, but the new AVG 8.0 lags my computer. If you play a game or use a program that accesses a bunch of files, AVG 8.0 slows down my computer a lot. I had a game that had thousands of small files and AVG slowed the loading by 1 to 2 minutes!
