I did a search, but found nothing referring to this particulat problem. I have a brand new Latitude D530 with intel gma x3100. I'm not a huge gamer, but I subscribe to gametap and play games from their site.
I can get to the webpage and log in, but when I select a game--any game--the next screen only partially loads, locks up, and I have to Ctrl-alt-del to get out. It gives me a message that gametap has crashed, and shows that .dll file.
I've tried loading new drivers (mine is already the latest), and changing resolution to 800x600 & medium 16 bit, but nothing works.
Any ideas? (and thanks in advance)

Did this problem start after updating to the newest drivers? Perhaps a driver rollback to a version proven to work and with no stability problems might help.

No, it happened before trying a new driver. I should also mention that Gametap tech support had me try several things--none of which worked. He was stumped.
What are the odds I got a bad x3100? The laptop is about a week old. -
Gametap reinstallation? Run Gametap in compatibility mode and administrator privileges in Vista? Disable Vista UAC?

I'm running XP home. I've uninstalled and reinstalled GameTap--same problem. I went to a couple of other sites and downloaded game demos. They load without problems and I can play them without any obvious problems. I'm beginning to think the problem is restricted to the Gametap site and not my laptop.
Are there any other sites that are similar to GameTap? I'll change my subscription if I can find one that works. I went to Gametap originally because it was the only site with Uru.
