    Hello,
what is a good image file reading software that works with vista?
i tried Deamon Tools and Alcohol 120% but they both have compatible issues with Vista while under installation.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

well, I'm not sure, but you could try "rip it for me".
    it's a free dvd/iso burner program.
it works great for me, but I have XP so I don't know if it works on Vista. But It doesn't hurt to try.

Try PowerISO, as gator linked above. Besides Alcohol and Daemon, it's one of the other top .iso handling programs, IMO. I've had nothing but trouble with Daemon, but PowerISO has worked for me.

For just iso image files I use the Virtual CD Control Panel by Microsoft. It's a very small download (>60kb), free, doesn't run in the background eating resources. Just open it, load the driver, mount the image, and close it. Its designed for XP, but I haven't had any problems in Vista for it. Hard to believe that something so simple and basic could be made by Microsoft.

I don't know what's wrong with your Vista, but Deamon Tools had no problem installing on my laptop. Did you install the lastest version?
If yes then, change the Vista theme to basic (without Aero) then install it and see if it works or not.
