intallation f.e.a.r combat problem

i just downloaded the free download of f.e.a.r combat, and when i go to install it, towards the end of the installation, it says that Access is Denied to the folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Monolith Productions\...and later on when i go to try and open C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents, it says Access is Denied because it's "Not Accessible"
i have the only account on this computer so is that why the "All Users" part doesnt work?

what is going on???? i tried going properties and stuff but nothing is working...what can i do to get this installation done?!?!? ive tried 3-4 times already with the same result

 

try moving the install to, say, C:\fear . Installation path may be too long. Also make sure that your windows user has administrator rights. You can install applications "for all users" only with admin rights.

 

i cant do anything about the path tho..the first path option is to program files (which i want it to go there), and the second is just for the start menu, the path for that....what else can i do??

Try creating another user account and installing it on there. You should still be able to launch it from your account.

 

ok thx chaz, i tried making a new account and i installed it but it still doesnt work cause its a certain folder on my computer thats not being accessible...
when i try going My Computer>C:drive>Documents and Settings>All Users>Documents, it says its not accessible and Access Denied...its that folder thats not working at all, so what can i do to make that folder work? cause now its not just about the game anymore, its about a folder on my computer thats faulty, so what if in the future it doesnt work again? then i cant do anything!!! what can i do???

 

That is an odd folder that it wants to install to:

It should be installing to C:\Program Files\Monolith Productions\....
Are you sure you cannot specify the directory to install to? I'm going to download FEAR Combat and install on my machine, and I'll see what happens.

EDIT: Ok, I am installing it . . I was able to change the installation directory, but it defaulted to (for me):
C:\Program Files\Sierra\FEARCombat

Interesting that yours says "Monolith Productions". I attached a screenshot of where the installation folder can be changed.

 

yea it is program files but at the very end of the installation, it says it tries to go to that inaccessible folder...man this is pissing me off >.<
