Dedicated graphics will be much better and 50$ is more than worth it. Go for the GeForce 8400

Just because you don,t plan to do it now, doesn,t mean you won,t be happy to have the possibility to do so in due time.

Dedicated. Then you don't sacrifice your system memory for graphics.

50$ in that case would be money well spent, because you NEVER know what kind of quality the integrated chip is. I avoid them like the plague.

But, that $50 can be spent on a RAM upgrade which counter-balences it.

If NFS:Carbon is your thing, then I'd go with the 8400M.

If you plan to do any gaming whatsoever go with 8400, or if you plan on playing HD movies on your notebook then go with the 8400. If however you don't plan to do either of those then stick with the 1300. For 50bucks I'd say upgrade anyways, because you cannot upgrade your video card afterwards and you may decide later on down the road that you'd like to game or play HD movies.

If you've got the extra 50 bucks go for it.
