I have a chronos series 7 from samsung, it has a hybrid GT640M but it doesn't seem to work and all the details and stuff show the intel HD 4000
i tried updating the drivers, switching to high performance , i'm aware it's not that good but it's terrible even with low graphics games like for example Dragon Nest.. i'm running low quality yet i still experience FPS lag... i dont know what the issue is , if someone could help me i'd really appreciate it. thanks .

    hi
go to your nvidia control panel and make sure the game exe you want to play is set to use the dedicated video card.

have you seen lines at all on your screen over the last few months.
    have you ever overclocked
have you taken the base off to clean out fans and also reaplied new thermal paste to the cpu/gpu
    the more info the better

Right click on desktop - open nVidia Control Panel - then Manage 3D settings - Click on Program settings tab - click on Add find where game exe is and select "High-performance nVidia processor".

That should do the trick. I am able to set up that all my programs to use nVidia gpu. You can also set up on global settings that nVidia is perffered GPU. I just dont see a point in that. Intel IGP runs all windows tasks good enough and when you need and want extra power, just set up for program to use nVidia. You get less heat while surfing and thus prolonging life of your notebook.

league of legends on low settings is fine
Dragon Nest is what im having issues with , even with lowest settings i still suffer from FPS lag alot of times

i'm starting to then the issue could not be the video card =/
note i only have the game on and everything else is closed

Did you use that popup tool that tells you which GPU is being used at any moment? Nv status or something.
