I was curious, as there isn't as much information on these two cards
    as there used to be.
Which one is faster? The main use would be WC3.

    Much thanks!

The Radeon SHould be faster, but both are enough for WC3. I should know, i played WC3 on a P4 with an Extreme Graphics.

On what kind of settings were you playin that? Cuz if one runs on low and the other on high, ill definetly go for the radeon. ATM im trading my laptop for either a T42 or an X40 Thinkpad. This is a make or brake issue.

Intel Extreme Graphics was awful. Any ATI card will probably beat it.

I think it was medium or so at 1024x768. But this was coupled with a P4 2,8 GHz. That helped boost performance.

What are the rest of the specs, and which one has the Radeon?

The Radeon 7500 is almost 7-8 yrs old. Still beats intel extreme... ;)

Radeon 7500=2002, Intel Extreme Graphics=2002, unless they debuted on the Intel 810/20/30 chipsets.

    The T42 would have about an M 1,7GHz/1Gb/radeon 7500

    The X40 has an M 1,2GHz/512mb/Intel Extreme 2.

Im curious if these old laptops could take a modern 2GB 533MHz stick of ram...

Oh, definitly T42. I don't think so, as these should be DDR laptops, not DDR2. Max should be 2x1GB DDR 333MHz

The problem with my decision at the moment, is i really like the size and weight (1,5kg) of the x40. Sure the T42 is faster, but its larger and heavier (2,2kg). The battery life is shorter too.

Considering i really only want to play Warcraft3 im really leaning towards the sexiness of the x40.
