    ion platform and the atom?

    we now see the atom in these desktops with the ion platform like asus eee and acers revo and wondering when we will see them in netbooks.

    any info or a list of games performance,would be nice to lay doom3 or half life 2 on max with 2xAA lol,or is that askn to much with the atom

    any other thoughts?

    No matter what they do, with regards to gaming, the atom will be a bottleneck.

    I've only ever seen Atom CPUs coming with Intel 950 GMA chips, which can barely run Half-Life 2, let alone handle anti-aliasing. Ion might, but there is no information on its performance yet. In short, they won't run most games, let alone *any* shooters.
