Hey guys, BAC is on sale on origin, price with discount is $24.99.
I just want to know your opinion about the game and whether it is worth buying and is it long? How about bugs, is there any at all?
And finally, can someone tell me exactly the size of the file. Thanks!

Mechanized Menace Lost in the MYST
Yes, yes, yes, and yes. The main story line is probably around 8 hours I think, but I did all kinds of stuff which took me a while( so I am not entirely sure). It is decent in length and I thought the story was pretty good. Well worth the $25 imo, there is a decent amount of content + the catwoman DLC comes with it, and her missions are fun just not many.
I didn't come across to many bugs(some texture glitches) in DX9 mode, but DX11 is still broken for me.
File size I think it was 16GB or 16.5GB.
EDIT: Origins is selling Batman AC for 10 bucks if you get ME3. -
Sweet! It's my first time buying a game from Origin, Can I pause the download and continue it later?
-
Mechanized Menace Lost in the MYST
Yes, you sure can.
-
It is a fantastic game. Absolutely1 10+ from me. I played it all on my old 120 inch projector image all in stereo 3d with flawlessly smooth fps and let me tell you, the boss fights were the most cinematic experiences I've ever had from a video game. Incredibly worth it!
-
/sigh....one year from now I'll be wishing I took advantage of this deal, but I'm waiting for Steam to have AC on sale for less than $20 like they did with AA GOTY edition.
-
Mechanized Menace Lost in the MYST
Why wait, you can get it now!
lol
-
Tempting but too much for me right now.

Mechanized Menace Lost in the MYST
Did you get Batman though Sanjie?
-
Don't buy it through Origin. They is Evil!!
-
because i'd rather have a steam copy of Batman: AC, and I haven't even finished either ME 1 or 2 though I own both...plus i have AC for my ps3 already beat the main story line. >_>
-
It's one of the best games of the year in my opinion.
Definitely worth it. -
Yes, I will get the $24.99 deal.
-
I wish I had brought it through Origin, I brought the DVD / Physical copy of it and it is the only bad thing about the game (its still my game of the year though). Old fashioned DRM of having to have the DVD in the drive.. In this day and age!
Top game, definatly worth getting and playing. One of the only games I have played to completion as well in a long time.
Boz -
better than the movies imho
-
brill game. also if you havnt got arkham asylum i would get that as well.
to the OP arkham city was half price on steam over christmas so if £$ are tight i would wait for the next steam sale. -
If you have Crysis2 or something else, I have a non-steam or origin download Arkham City code I got from purchasing my SSD I will trade.

Good game, id wait until they fix it on PC though.
-
Some of its dx 11 features can slow it down, but the game looks terrific even with this off.

I'm a fan of open world games, and all the reviews were extremely positive, so I was really looking forward to this one.
However, even though there are a lot of buildings, you can't enter them as the doors don't open. All you can do is glide around. I think there are a couple places you can open with explosive, but I wasn't able to enter any of them.
After the opening scene with Catwoman and Two Face, I glided around the city for a while, kept beating up random groups of thugs for a few hours and it just got so incredibly repetitive and boring that I quit. There was nothing to do.
I would recommend waiting until it goes on sale for $5 or at the very most $10. -
give it more time, theres a great story in there.
edit:
however if youre looking for an open world experience akin to skyrim or fo3 this is neither an rpg nor is it the game for you -
i only ended up gliding around right at the end of the game hunting down the last joker riddles. there are tons of side missions that will keep you going for days. i would seriously give it another go as you are missing out the main part of the game.
-
should this game be played with a controller or is mouse and keyboard good enough?
-
I highly recommend it, was a great game and definitely took my attention away from Skyrim. The ending is amazing, not what I expected, and the song Only You by the Platters will never sound the same again.
-
personal preference, really. but I preferred to play the first Batman with an xbox controller.
-
Xbox 360 controller all the way.
-
can i just plug my xbox 360 controller into my laptop and it will recognize?

Yes, it will.

But it can still be played quite well on kb/m

It still lags slightly on 485m w/ dx9 on ;x -
I purchased it already. I just need to access a fast wifi connection because my internet connection has a limit of 10 GB.
-
very slightly when i enter or exit a few rooms. but i think this more an hdd thing than graphics related.

I'd be curious if adding an SSD would fix that...I have yet to test the new patch because I got my copy from Origin but I'm hoping the recent patch fixed all my issues
is Batman: Arkham City worth it?
