Hi, i´m having a little problem with my laptop it is a mybook ms-1719 with a t7500 2.2ghz intel cpu and 2 gig ram and a 8600m "gt" gpu running Vista premium
My worries is that it´s only a gs gpu since it performs bad compared to other 8600m gt notebooks and gpu-z.0.0.9 only shows 16 shaders insted of 32 as a gt should have...
Is this a bios/driver fault or is it infact a gs sold as gt???
Is there a way to tell without dismantling it?![]()

If you go to device manager then look for display adapters and click the plus sign next to that it "should" show the graphics card you have in your laptop.
However it is known to generalise so may just show 8600m family or some such wording and not whether it's gs or gt. I think the same generalisation can happen when you look in display properties then settings then advanced then look at the adapter tab. Worth a look though... -
Problem solved
)))
No idear why but 16 of the 32 shaders were disabledHad to use rivatuner to bring all shaders back online??? why the f... is half af them turned off from stock.... bet it´s vista??
anyway works like a charm now with a huge increase in performance..
is it a 8600m gt or only gs
