Well, they are better than the adds on the side of internet pages, because they have a preview of the game...

ew, just realizing that title is a little off.

should be "is it just me, or do games have the best adds on t.v"

Oh, thats what i interpreted anyway.

Just go to Edit on your OP, then Advanced. On top, you can change the thread title. ;)

I don't think so. I think the best games aren't just sequels to successful games but timeless classics. Creativity is much more important than crysis-esque graphics imho
Actually, I haven't seen that many game ads on TV, the console stuff aside. Or maybe not it's just because I haven't watched TV since I started college...

Nearly all games have trailers....just most gamers are playing games, not watching T.V. so that is why a majority of game companies don't spend to much on tv commericals.

Ugh, as if the show is not pointless enough, they had to make a game out it?

Who has time to watch TV anyways, between work and Fallout 3, I only get 4 hours of sleep a night.

Yes because these type of important games have rich publisher houses that will spend big bucks promoting that specific game.

I think Resistance 2 has the best TV ad right now.

"I heard the noise of thunder, the whispers in the night, telling me of.... the end."

    Brilliant stuff.

I saw that ad and was quite impressed. My wife thought it was an actual movie trailer! Probably the highest production values for a game ad yet. Makes me want a PS3.

Those 4 hours could be spent watching TV then! There will be plenty of time for sleep in the End. ;)

i didn't like that commercial too much either, i do like the COD5 and Tom Clancy's Endwar commercials. there was another game that looked kind of good, i think it was called mirror edge or something like that.

it's all marketing, and money. It's easy for the big companies to advertise because they have the money to. Such as with Activsion Blizzard they have the big bucks to spend on advertising games such as WoW and Guitar Hero...

i wish theyd push an ad for left 4 dead, it seems like such a good game, it deserves an ad more than some of those games.
