ok so is there really that big of a difference to pay like 70 dollars for 1.66 enstead of a 1.60? my biggest thing is that it would boost the computer to almost 1,000 dollars plus accesories vs 830 dollars plus accesories. is it that much of a proformance increase to pay the extra 70 dollars plus tax?

Not worth it. What model are you specifically looking at? What will you be doing with the computer?

the dell e1505 and its between a 1.60 and 1.66 duo with 1 gig ram and a x1400 mainly just light gaming cs 1.6 css hl2 hl2dm dawn of war cov/coh maybe some bf2 and possibly fear on low settings

I'd go with the cheaper processor. The x1400 will be your bottleneck.

From what I've learned there isn't going to be that much of a difference in preformance between 1.66 and 1.60 unless your doing intensive work calculations and such where the extra speed would be noticed. I second Vespoli suggestion.

Get the 1.66 since it is 64bit instead of 32bit. There may not be much performance difference now but for $67 it is better to just get the 64bit so you wont have to upgrade later.
